Blower Door Test

A blower door test was used to determine the airtightness of the house and to help to determine air leakage spots.  The blower door consisted of a fan used to measure airflow rate and a device that measures air pressure created by fan flow. These measurements are used to determine the airtightness.
This NZEH was so tight that a reading couldn’t be taken. The operator said that this was the tightest home that he had ever seen.
